ChoreoPowered DANCE Workshops – January 2026

If you’re craving a deeper dance experience that lets you really sink into choreography, these ChoreoPowered workshops are for you. Each week focuses on a single dance routine, taught over two consecutive sessions so you can refine musicality, dynamics, and style at a generous, supportive pace.

• 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

• Youngstown Cultural Arts Center — Movement Studio (West Seattle)

• Instructor: Jennifer Cepeda, creator of DancePowered

• Sliding Scale: $25–$30 per workshop

What to Expect

This series blends jazz funk, disco, and groove, all infused with classic DancePowered signatures—full-body movement, musical play, and choreography that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

The workshop is structured as a Level 2–3 intermediate class.

• Some prior dance experience is recommended

• If you’re brand-new to dance, this likely won’t be the best fit

• The pace is generous and intentional—designed so dancers can absorb, repeat, and embody the choreography

• The goal is to keep the group moving together without leaving anyone behind

About Jennifer

Jennifer Cepeda is a Seattle-based choreographer, dance instructor, and the creator of DancePowered. Over the past decade, she has produced countless dance experiences for open-level dancers across the city. Her work includes:

• Performances at the West Seattle Street Fair

• Signature and epic flash mobs, including Dare to Dance

• Teaching and choreography at Community Fitness, Viva Arts, Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, and more

• Westlake Dance Center alum

Jennifer is passionate about creating dance environments where adults feel energized, capable, and inspired—no matter where they are on their dance journey.
